WTB Western Saddle

I am wanting to buy a western saddle 15'' - 17'' seat. I need it to fit a wide range of horses. Nothing over $150 please. I live in Tennessee so I would also need a shipping price

I am also looking for a husband/child safe horse/draft. The hubby loves draft horses. And I believe he would ride more if he had draft.

Turn, there's no one-size-fits-all saddle. As for the amount you are willing to spend most saddles are either in poor shape or missing key pieces.
Tayz and Casey02 like this.

I know there is no one size fits all saddle. I brought my buffalo saddle used for $150 and its in very good shape. There are plenty of saddles that are in a good condition for a great price.

I have a 16in seat, wide gullet reining saddle for $150 +shipping (probably $50 for shipping). It was previously restored except the sheepskin. Well made, quality saddle made of 100% leather, even the seat. Let me know if you would like pictures.

Are you forgetting about treeless saddles?

Treeless are not one-size-fits-all either.

How do you figure? Its pretty much a fancy bareback pad. Although the exact definition of a treeless saddle varies, they have a pommel and a cantle, both made of fiberglass. However the treeless saddle doesn't have a tree (the rigid bars in treed saddles), so the shape of the saddle changes to the size of the horse. Meaning a wide horse and a narrow horse can share a saddle. (:

Good treeless saddles are in the $1,200 and up range - hardly a fancy bareback pad. You should look further into the design of the saddle to know that they are not one size fits all.

I think SCRM was just putting it in plain terms, not that it really is a fancy bareback pad.
