Wink WTB western saddle for high withered horse, or sell this one

Smoke is your typical high withered walking horse, and as I've come to learn more about saddle fit, I've realized the western saddle I have doesn't fit him. He never complains, but I can tell now that it can't be comfortable. I'd like to keep the saddle, but if someone has one that would fit him better I am willing to trade mine. The saddle I have to trade is 16 inch seat Big Horn. The only real wear visible is on the felt seat, it's just a bit dirty with use. I just oiled it last week. I'll attach photos.

I'll need a 16 inch seat, or around there. High gullet, narrower tree. I'd like to spend no more than 200, as I'm on a budget. Therefor, cosmetic wear does not bother me one bit as long as the saddle is safe and sound for use.
I was thinking a roper, because they tend to have higher horns, no? Perhaps that would be better for him. Feel free to give me pointers, as I'm still learning.

A custom-made gaited horse saddle is not an option at this time, so I am coming to my trusted and resourceful horseforum colleagues! Go ahead, make my day. :)

EDIT: title should say "Trade" this one ^^

When a horse has high withers this style of fork will never fit them. You need to look at a saddle with what is often referred to as a barrel front. It is deeper in the gullet. Your saddle is riding on his withers which can eventually cause a breakdown of the tissue and underlying bone called fistula. You don't want to have to deal with that.

Yep, I know it can cause damage, hence why I'm trying to get another one. didn't know there was a name for the deep gullet I'm looking for, thanks.

Anybody? really don't want to trail ride in my cutback saddle lol ><

This one is done in a few hours but look for one of similar vintage. I have a very similar one and it fits my high withered walker just fine.

Mine is late 70's, early 80's made. I've had it for 20+ years. It's fit a number of horses. I used it most on a gaited standardbred who did rack and did running walk. The old mare was pretty much built like your horse.

Get a cutback pad for your boy too. Free up those shoulders and withers as much as possible.
