Calling people who've applications made in Facebook

When I opened my email today I found I had gotten something from Facebook. So, has anyone else received a message like that?:

I'm wondering what is that? I've added just some applications and created some with platforms they've there on Facebook (for example quotes creator, quiz creator) but never heard any kind of advertisement code?

Some kind of scam? The message seemed pretty correct and reliable so I sent email to them and asked what's going on and then some help (haven't gotten a reply yet). I still think asking if someone else has a similar situation like I've doesn't hurt.

I'd add: I haven't advertised anything on Facebook, not at least so that I'd have been aware of it.

That's a weird email to get... what was the email address it was from?

I'd say it's just junk mail. If it was actually facebook (or their "Ads Team") they would be able to remove whatever the offending application was themselves. They control the website, they can remove anything they don't want from it, and they don't need to ask you to do it.

I'm thinking it was a competing ad agency trying to get the other company's circulation number go down, or just someone with a bizarre agenda! Or it could have been someone trying to get you to click a link in the email that was in the email that was sent...

I think just ignore it; take no action.

Ptvintage: the end of the email address from which I received the mail is @support.facebook.com so for me it seemed pretty correct. The same address was also their reply-to address. The link in their post was a link to Facebook Ad Provider Terms site.
