Constantly reloading the forum

I switched to FireFox during "the time of the great threat to IE". I like it, even though it's driving me crazy - but only on the forum.

It is constantly reloading the page. I'm talking about every few seconds. I'm looking a tab right now and it is repeatedly saying "Horse Forum" "Loading" "Horse Forum" "Loading" - just like a blinking neon sign on a dinner that says "Eat At Joe's".

Wait a moment .... it's only doing this with the carrot indicator - is that the problem?

The carrot indicator has refresh page script setup (that's what I think it is), so when you see a carrot indicator it is constantly moving it's lights searching for the carrot location. That "searching" is what making your page re-load constantly.

Do I make sense there?

Yes you do. I knew I could count on you (or Mike) for the answer.

Green Broke
The carrot locater is part of the reason why I opted out of the carrot game. It was doing the same thing to my browser as it's doing to you, Bill.

I hated it.

Is it bothering anyone else? We added it to be helpful, but we'd rather remove it than see it turn members off to the game...

Remove it and make all the carrot hunters WORK for the carrots.

I think we should setup a poll in General section and ask people about it?. What do you think?

To me it does not bother me because I work in an environment where I have 15 windows open so I switch back and fourth quite alot.

Personally, as long as I understand it, it's fine. I just didn't know what was causing it. The way I figured it out, and it was confirmed by Jehanzeb (before Mike had a chance to) was when I opened a 2nd tab and only the one with the locator was reloading.

Thanks to the locator I caught 5 carrots, however I think the concept of hide and seek is lost since it came, as people like me are having more chance to find carrots .

Could be taken as positive or negative.
