    Dead in the water

Well, I am officially dead in the water. My modem in my computer has died and now I have no access to any type of internet service and I cannot get on the forum except for the library. I now must find another route and buy an external cable modem for cable hook up. This means more $$$$$ of course but if its worth it then its worth it. I can't stand not having any type of internet access at home. Until I get back up and running I will only be on the forum during the weekends. I am sure most don't care but so far I like it here and feel that I am contributing something (even if its minute) to the equine world.

My PC died last week. The fan kept getting louder and I just ignored it. It fried my computer to the point I couldn't transfer anything off the hard drive. Nothing.
Big panic set in as I had just lost everything. I took a deep breath and realized that everything didn't mean it was all good. A lot of crap I didn't need or want. I bough a cheap lap and began loading my good stuff . Up all night but it actually like this smaller unit better. No kidding. It forced a long needed house cleaning, it did give me a slow painful experience ,but by the weekend I had a clean laptop with everything I wanted. I love it as forced me to be current..$250. On sale.

    Good luck

I need to become more computer savy. I just get freaked out with all of the terminology that goes with it all. I am technologically challenged. LOL

I only have the iPhone at home for internet, I sometimes Bluetooth it with my laptop. We had satellite internet before, so slow and not worth it, no high speed on my road. To tell you the truth, I don't miss it but I do use the computer at work quite a bit, lol.
