The Envy - HP ENVY dv4t Laptop, Intel® Core
The Pavilion - 7004308 - Best Buy
ETA - Thanks! I don't care for Toshiba though, and my silly phone posted a blank thread. *eyeroll* No worries! Posted via Mobile Device |
What do you need a laptop for, specifically?

Oh. Well then ... have you considered a desktop PC instead? For the same money you could get a much more powerful computer.
I say this as someone who used to feel he needed a laptop for his career (I'm a writer, so there was a need) because they're better than desktops in every way for my purposes but has rethought his position since the advent of the modern smartphone and tablet systems ...
I'm not sure
anybody needs a "laptop" computer for general purpose computing like that anymore (and really, aren't they too hot to keep on your lap's top these days?

). Sure, if you need to do a lot of Photoshop or video editing work on location then you probably have to have one, but I think almost everybody else could get by with a tablet or smartphone and a desktop computer as their primary PC. I could do most aspects of my job with a tablet and an accessory keyboard; I could even write an article or essay on my smartphone.
