I think that to look at your public profile at google or wherever would be ok since it is public information but to actually ask for passwords is nuts. I have never heard of such a thing in my life. A criminal background check, references and drug testing ought to be enough for anybody. What a person does on their own time on their own computer is nobodys buisness. It makes ya wonder whats next...are they going to be making you give up your bank pin so they can see where your money goes?

Wow! Never would I apply to a job that asked for passwords to my accounts. That is going way too far!

I agree. I was actually going to apply for a state job in Bozeman and decided against it for different reasons...I never saw the application. Apparently they have been doing it for like the past 3 years and theres some places in Oregon that do it.

I don't mind them googling me and looking at any public profiles...but that seems a bit out of line.
