Laptop Suggestions

Hahaha. My mom's had her Dell for less than a year and her touchpad broke. She didn't use it much anyway and preferred a wireless mouse, so she didn't mind much, but now the wireless mouse doesn't like the Dell anymore. Oops..

I'm using my Dell Inspirion 14Z right now. I love it! It's got Windows 7 as well

I'm on a Dell Inspiron 1545 at the moment. It's too touchy for me. If I bump the fingerpad while typing it'll spazz the entire screen or if I move the mouse too quickly.

Oops! Another requirement: I will not buy a Mac. No.

Yeah I'm on a school owned mac os x right now. It's an incredibly weak computer. And you have to constantly clean the screen, cause it gets so dirty! It's just another item that mac has convinced people to think is the best thing in the world. It's got a nice factor, but that's about it. You can't do anything you couldn't on a pc.

Re: Macs- The fact that they have no right click annoys the heck out of me!

My dad has a Lenovo, I like it. It's a smaller screen than I like, but it doesn't freeze up as much as my Dell and is altogether hardier.

They do have right click. It's just different. You push ctrl + click or click with two fingers on the track pad. But it's annoying as hell.

Plus they have their toolbar thing at the bottom that I loathe. You move your finger a millimeter and you're four icons away and open some random program rather than another browser. Grr.

I'm a film major right now too, so I have to use macs to edit projects. So much frustration.

Also, I should add that I don't drop my computer that often, I swear! It was just that once where time slowed to about half speed and I watched it just drop from the side of the couch. Haha.

Mac needs some serious adjustments to their crap, that's all I can say.
