I live in Germany, and often travel to Belguim, France, Holland and the UK... all within Europe. However, I get holiday rates and charged around 2.99 for X amount of texts, phone calls and data usage. When I was out in Macedonia I was out of Europe and the charges were MUCH higher.

It's been a while since SIM cards stopped once you reach country boarders here, they work all over the world (providing you have signal of course!) and come as standard.

Thats really irritating, but its good to know, I'll be sure to remember that when i head off for holidays to Europe.
