Skype Registration Problems?

I'm having problems creating a Skype account. I type in all my information and precede to the next step, where it says, "Checking your username is available" or something to that extent. It never gets past that part, no matter how long I wait. I press cancel, and below my information, it says, "A problem has occured" or something to that extent.

What to you think is wrong?

When you say that it says "Checking your username is available" do you mean it is telling you that it is checking if that username is available, or telling you that it is available? Maybe try a different username.

I used multiple different user names, so I don't think that's it.

Hmm... I've created two different skype accounts, and had no problems setting up either one.

Are you setting it up online, or in the program?

Not sure. I downloaded the program and it came up with the log it. I selected that I wasn't registered and went through the registration process. Is there another way?

The website registration has a whole bunch more stuff to fill in than the program registration... idk why. :roll:
