Now im steering towards an iphone. If I get one ill sell my ipod and return my mum the money (as she is paying majority for it). I already have a line of cases lined up that I want to buy. I've always been careful with my devices, my ipod touch has been dropped once in all the 2 years I've owned it.
    My issues with galaxies-
Never had good experience with android
    Slow and hard to use
No itunes or apps store (i know theres google play)
    Big and bulky

    Issues with iphone-
    Too simple
    Camera not as good

Can anyone tell me anything about these issues? Are they right or wrong? And overall, what phone do you reckon is better (iphone 5s or galaxy s5)?

This pic was taken at dusk on a cloudy day with my iPhone 4:

I have a FujiFilm FinePix point-and-shoot camera that is 12MP that doesn't even take pics as nice as my iPhone does.

My only issue with my iPhone (and it's specific to my phone, as my boyfriend who has the same phone that he got the exact same day doesn't have this problem) is that my flash makes things weird colors. Like this:

The iPhone 5 has a better camera than my phone does, too.

My friends got a 4 and I've seen the photos it takes. I reckon an 8 megapixel camera will do me, my big digital camera is an 8 mp cam and its photos are amazing. Of course phone photos can't be as good, but I'm sure they will be decent. After a bit of thought I think I'm going to go with an iphone. Smaller and suits my needs more. I'll either sell my ipod or give it to a family member. Thankyou everyone for your help, it helped me make up my mind (finally! :P)

I'm curious about what you mean when you say "too simple"?

Well, androids are very customisable. Theres plenty of settings to mess with to make the phone ideal. Sometimes its not as straight forward as clicking on an app or setting to find something. IPhones tend to be more, its right there infront of you type of phone. Everything is simple to access and there isn't a lot you can customise unless you jailbreak it, which I don't plan on doing. As my dad's a technician I've grown up with complicated devices, I enjoy messing around with settings to get the device how I want it.

But then again, sometimes androids do get annoying because of all the settings. I remember on my old droid connecting to networks to get on the internet involved going into settings, allowing three options, then having it connect, then there was another setting to activate. Way too much work for something that should be very basic.

Currently im 95% sure I want an iphone, but, I'm still open to change my mind. I don't have to decide for at least another week, so I still have time.

Just another note, do you guys reckon I should sell my ipod touch? Is it worth going through the effort to sell it or should I give it to a family member, I have someone who would be happy to take it.

I see many used cell phones for sale but as a potential buyer I don't know the phone's history or how long it might last. Therefore I wouldn't be willing to pay very much, certainly not what the seller is hoping to get.

Ive come to the conclusion to not sell my ipod, my mum is quite keen to get it so I'll be giving it to her. Today I went to a shop and actually played around with both phones, had a good look at the settings, camera and other essentials. I've decided on the iphone 100% now! Just didnt really like the galaxy as much as I thought I would.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0. It's better than nothing, I can download games and apps, go to the internet, etc. I cannot call people or text. The only way I text is through Gmail Talk/Hangouts and Kik. Another thing, my phone needs to be connected to a network in order for me to access the internet or play games that require internet which sucks. But there are games that allow me to play without internet.

    I have an iphone5

Been using iphones for years, why?
    I like the size
The OS is very easy to use, I try and use my fiances s5 and I'm just lost.
    Great apps from app store
I have an ipad, so it makes sharing apps easier
    <3 icloud
I only use lifeproof cases, my phone is indestructible with them. It keeps them in new condition that I'm able to sell my phone when I upgrade for 250-350 bucks.
    Great camera

Mine has trouble in freezing temps....like if I'm at the barn or out riding in like below 32...if I take it out of my pocket for too long it will shut off. Apparently its a safety feature because its not good for the battery/phone parts to be on in extreme cold/heat.

Like I said, been using them for years. I'm quite worried about the iphone6 coming out, rumors of it being a bit bigger. That will ruin iphones for me. I tried a lot of different phones before the iphone, can't imagine going back to them.
