Annie's first trail ride

I have a 2 year old filly paint just back from training. We took her on a very leisurely easy trail for her first official trail ride OMG she was fantastic!!!! I am so happy because she's a little pushy with ground manners, she is a completely different horse under saddle. YAY Does anyone have any suggestions regarding the akward in-between saddle size, one a bit too small, one a tad too big, but she is still growing, so I don't want to invest a whole buch of $$ on a sadlle.

Congratulations! It seems that under saddle she knows she has a job to do. I like that in a horse.

As far as saddle size, the one that is a tad too big would be my choice. At 2 years old there is little doubt that she will grow both in bone and muscle. I would never go with a smaller one even if my horse was fully developed.

Thanks! My trainer said she is a great horse. I'm going with the larger saddle

I was always told, you can pad up a too big saddle but if its too small its just to small
