    Can't believe it...

Every year we go camping with a group in Central Oregon. Camper is loaded, trailer ready to go...and this morning I have A Lame Horse.
I'll call the vet when the clinic opens in a few minutes but it's pretty clear that pretty Paint mare isn't going anywhere.
    Oh well...sometimes stuff happens.

Bummer! Where in Central Oregon do you usually go?

Well, the vets (2 of them) just left.
This morning the RF leg was warm and there was swelling on the inside just above the fetlock, and she limped.
Now, the leg is normal temp, hardly any noticable swelling and you have to really look to see any favoring. Outside of the fact that she is so much better, the really good news is it's not a tendon. Not sure just what the issue was but it is better.
Both vets said "Go camping." We do very easy trails for limited time. I have boots for her feet. I'll pack all the supplies needed in case there is a problem, and we have a retired vet in our group.
So, I guess I better finish packing and plan on enjoying the trails in the Sisters area.
