Crazy trail ride, what should I say?

A couple days ago, My friend, my mom and I went for a trail ride with our two best horses, my friend was riding our retired passer standard bred and my mom was leader her. And I was riding my Quarter Horse, he used to teach kids learn to ride until the owner needed money and sold him to us. I was in front of them, listening to their conversation.

My horse is just getting used to the trails, but the horse they were using is all experienced. That's why I wanted to take my horse because he was only riding in an arena. And my friend is just learning to ride all over again after a couple years of missing it.

So me and my horse are in the lead, I wanted him to see what was out there, its all wet but not wet enough to stop a ride ;)..... And we come across a turn that had a tree bending and my horse turn, i had to hold the tree while we pass so it doesn't hurt him, but my hand slipped and it smacked is rear, and he totally spooked! he started to rais his head and at that time i knew he was going to go nuts! so he started bucking! And of course i'm trying to hold on and tell him to settle down. And then he did but he was a bit spooked of what was going to happen next.

My mom and my friend come a minute after that happened because my horse was a bit faster. I started breathing very heavily because it happened so fast! And my mom was like " Settle down whats wrong?" And I said well satelite got hit with that tree. And she said what?! how is the horse?! Is he okay?! And I said "yeah, he's fine?" And she was like "don't give me that attitued" And I said I wasn't giving you attitude at all? And I was thinking in my head.... Well your not going to see how I'm doing, i could have gotton hurt? What should I say to her?

Why are you still obsessing over something that happened several days ago? It's done and over with, and neither you nor the horse were hurt.

I'm pretty sure your mother hasn't given it another thought.

i wouldnt have said anything. your mom would have realized instantly if you were hurt not to mention if it was just an ego thing that was hurt. moms can tell the slightest thing wrong with there child whether we believe it or not.
therefore i would not have been upset with how she reacted. if you had fallen then thats a different case. but you didnt and it was the horse who had more harm then you at that moment. :) just let that stuff roll off your back

you were still in the saddle and probably looked ok. So she asked about the horse.
