I went for a ride after work yesterday up Days Canyon Trail (Hobble Creek UT). First time on this particular trail. It climbs up top pretty fast so its a good workout for the horses, and its about 15min from home to the trail. Once you get up on top it links into a network of trails that you could ride on for many, many miles.
The trail starts in the bottom of a canyon with lots of shade and you ride that way for a couple 3-4 miles before the sun can get to you so its a great afternoon ride. By the time you are hitting the top the sun is going down and you've climbed so much in elevation that it isn't hot anymore.
Yep, That looks like North Utah.
I love being able to ride on the shady side of the mountain on a warm day. And once you are up high enough in elevation, the temps cool off and you don't need the shade
Glad you got out. I've never Hobble Creek. I have gone down and rode at Black Hawk and dimple dell . But most of my riding is farther north
