The temps dipped into the 60s from the 90's the week before. It was perfect riding weather and my neighbors schedule finally matched up with mine. Saturday we decided to meet at my place at 12:30 and head out. It was overcast yet beauitful.
I rode my newer horse since he has more road experience. The option was "ride across the highway and down some beautiful side roads, or ride to her trails at her home.
I decided to cross one off my bucket list and road down the streets I've been daydreaming of riding on. I was thoroughly impressed with Aidan. He didnt flinch at mail boxes, nor garbage cans, nor barking dogs at his heels. He did fine with passing cars. The only 2 things he spooked at was the killer storm drain and a truck passing at 55 with a trailer attached. All in all it was a fantastic ride. I even got to jump a ditch which was a first for me.
What made this ride even more beauitful was the changing leaves <3 I love fall and can't wait to do more of this.
