Thanks guys for all the tips...Ive picked up a new training regiment with him. Long rides twice a week (one close to ten miles, one close to four miles) and one day a week of quick paced galloping and loping for short distances. So far Ive already noticed a big change in his muscle defenition and he handles the riding better.

I do most of my riding on gravel roads and grassy bar ditches...sadly I have no where else to really ride...hes been riden in a dirt area a few times...even with his more complex riding routine his feet have shown no worse wear then they did before!

Now my main issue is finding an event near me....does anyone know of any upcoming limited distance rides in north texas or oklahoma? Im having a near impossible time finding events...infact I havent found any....perhaps an event list is foaling around on ciber space somewhere??? I have no idea...

Also...He isnt a regestered Appendix...thats just my best guess....im 99.9% sure he is though...but alas no papers and no way to get them...so can grade horses be entered into endurance races? I know thats prob a dumb question but I know there are events out there where grade horses are not allowed...

Pidge google Ridecamp to find the Endurance website. Under the EVENTS heading are the calendars for all endurance events.

Also google NATRC and look under their Ride Calendar heading for competitive trail rides.
