Some trail photos

Hi everyone, i haven't been on here recently so thought i'd post a few photos i've taken over the summer riding in the local reserve with Phoenix.

He's done so well this year on trail, he takes the lead on the way home when the other horses start to speed up and keeps everyone at a nice leisurely pace. He hasn't been nearly as spooky as he was last year and has had no major incidents to speak of. We've just been out racking up the miles and enjoying the trails :)

He's even done some road work and seems to enjoy walking along the roads more than along the trails, given the option he picks to go on the road.

Pooped after 6 miles of easy sloping trails

Thinking back to when i first took this horse back onto trail just over 2 years ago he's come a long way! I'm so proud of him.

I love the second last photo!
My horse is the opposite he likes the trail better then the road, and my sisters horse freaks out from the echoing of his hooves on the road!

I think mine actually likes the sound of his clip clop on the road :) There's a bit of the trail where you can either go down the trail and across a small creek or up onto the road bridge and cross that way. I let Phoenix cross the bridge about mid summer and he did shy a little at the echo of his hoof beat but after that first time he won't go down the trail crossing now, he prefers the bridge where the cars are. Silly horse! His little trail buddy won't go on the road so we brave that bit ourselves.

Thanks guys, the trail is really pretty and i do love an ears shot! It's the best view in the world.
