Well, I have finally braved the highway and left the beach behind. Here are a couple of pics from my ride today. The weather has been amazing and I enjoyed making the most of it. Along my ride I came across a lovely little lane so that is my first pic. And then a couple taken at the top, one looking forward and one looking back toward the coast where we came from. And then a "home beach" shot for good luck.

Eastern Iowa

Iowa may not seem like the ideal place to trail ride, but on the bluffs along the Mississippi, the riding is beautiful!

Things are finally drying out enough here to start hitting some of the local trails. This park is not to far away from us but the river has been to high to ride there for a while. Don't think we could of even rode there last weekend as part of the road was still flooded this weekend.

Flooded tent camping spot off a slough.

This looks like a creek running high but the river is actually over running its bank here.

Crossing.

All in all I'm excited. This mean spring has sprung and trails are drying out again. Riding season is fast approaching!

Love all your Photos, they are awesome! What a magnificent world we live in. This photo is typical of the high country of the south island New Zealand. It's just up the backmof where I live.
