We made the cover of a magazine again!

Woo Hoo – Check out the Jan. edition of the BCHW TrailHead News we’re on the cover. Inside you’ll, of course, find our regular trail of the month article.

I must admit that over the past few weeks I’ve spent more time in front of a PC than on a horse, at least the effort is paying off!

Of course you can also find TrailMeister in other publications this month as well. Northwest Horse source has a very topical piece on foul weather riding gear. NW Rider has info on how to interpret a topographic map and our TrailBlazer Magazine column features some great riding opportunities in South Carolina, Washington, and Ohio.

In other separate but related news – Along with the spiffy new TrailMeister layout we’ve added a new feature where visitors can provide input on their favorite trails and equine friendly camping areas. We’re taking visitor input and going through a considerable verification process with land managers, local riding groups etc. before adding it to the site. We’ve already added many new areas in Oregon, Texas, Louisiana, South Carolina, Washington, and Ohio with this new feature. Hope you’ll tell us about your favorite places as well!

Congrats! That's awesome for you.

There is one principle that should never be abandoned, namely, that the rider must first learn to control himself before he can control his horse. This is the basic, most important principle to be preserved in equitation - Alois Podhajsky
