Talking Where to trail ride in southern alberta for a newbie to Alberta

Just wondering if some of you more trail experienced horse people out there could point me in the direction of some day use trails for pleasure riding? I see ads all the time on Kijiji that people have taken their horses to the mountains all the time and since I am new to this province, I am not sure where all the Albertans ride? I have heard that some people ride near Drumheller. I live near Olds.

Hey! I'm in Calgary, so not too far from you. There are LOTS of great trails in Kananaskis (you'll hear people say K Country a lot). I'm not too sure about Olds in particular, but honestly Alberta has tons of great trails, so I'm sure you'll have lots nearby. I'm lucky enough to be right near the Elbow river which has miles of trails leading into the mountains.
You can even go to a local feed/tack store and ask the people there - they'll have lots of useful, local info for you! Oh, and welcome to Alberta!
