Work keeps getting in the way!

I'm supposed to be retired. If I'm retired how come work keeps getting in the way of riding? This week it's building a chicken coop. Next week it'll be time to work in the yard and garden some more. Soon it'll be time to finish siding the barn. Then build the chicken house for inside the coop.

Being retired is nice--but it ain't all it's cracked up to be! Sigh.

But, for the record, I'd not willing trade it for going back to a day job!

That is a problem you have. I can ride around work, it's the kids activities that get in the way of my riding......but I would not change it for anything.

Besides that, it is the incessant rain and clouds of mosquitos that are keeping me from riding right now in addition to kids activities

Well, I DID have to monitor the youngest when he got home from School today. Otherwise I'd have gone to Hell's Gate and tried ponying Tam. But tomorrow I'm "free" and am going! It's not even supposed to rain!

I have the same problem, except instead of being retired, I'm Self employed. - I should be able to make "ME Time" if I've got no one but myself scheduling my work load. But No. Always a job to do.

Yeah my job and family can get in the way sometimes. My boys enjoy the horses so I always try to include them on my riding. Sometimes I wish though that I could just have my own time.
