    HIphop,

I think you sit that mare real nice. Could either go WP (and it WOULD be cool!) OR, better yet, have you thought about dressage? Drafts can really be impressive. And why cant' you post? You bob up and down , can'tcha?

Check out Drafts4ever and her mare.

You obviously missed the thread about women whipping their ta-ta's out to feed children and man boobs. Nothing said in his forum will ever top those photos.

They look more like table cloths to me..

Hiphop, I think it will be really nice to break the mold a little. Shake it up a little..

Lol It is not a hanky! It's just a scarf.. It pulls the look together..

think HipHop and his beautiful lady should be dancing in the dressage ring, and it has nothing to do with breeches, honest.

Fact is a draft can do most anything that you want to ask them, they are only limited by the riders limits, they may not be the best at some disciplines, but by heck they will give it a go.

Actually, it's called a "Wild Rag", not a hankerchief.

Hi Paul,These ladies can get pretty far "out there", but we're all just suffering from either drought or too much rain. A lot of us are just going a bit stir crazy. It's been a strange summer. That is such a nice mare.

Welcome to the world of backyard showing, Paul! I too am dabbling for my first time, and on a draftX... actually, a FjordX but he's heavier than the hubby's perchX - lol!

I also am riding two-handed this year. My horse is older than 4 yrs and I'm working on the neck reining thing, but he's more of an English soul, as am I. Backyard Dressage, to be specific... we just have fun plunking around for our own benefit and fancy-shmansy-ness.

I've been to two of the three shows on our summer schedule so far. The first was a delightful surprise, the second not as much... I tried to be more 'socially acceptable' and bitted down. I should have stuck with who we really are and I could have at least completed the patterns, maybe even placed. The joy of the local backyard shows is that they're not so picky about all the little details. Well, until the lower ranks from higher up polute the classes. We make them look GOOOOD and of course, they take all the ribbons from the Home-Grown Recreationals. Chafes my chaps a tad, but that's another post...

Just show up, soak it in, and tweak as you go. Be who you are and you'll have tons of fun! And perhaps give a few princesses a run for their ribbons... .

Heck, if anyone gives you a problem, just remember that your horse will likely be BIGGER than their horse. I'm not advocating meanness, but........
