    Getting back in the game!

The last time I showed WP was when I showed on my college's IHSA team almost 4 years ago. I was about to point out to reining, but then senior year and thesis work piled on and forced me to miss my last year on the team (sad!).

Well, fast forward through two on-again off-again leases during grad school, and finally a purchase of a sweet Arabian gelding whose specialty is WP (although I bought him for competitive trails), and guess what we're doing this weekend?

We're headed for a local No Bling show, competing in Western Pleasure and Western Equitation classes. I don't expect to bring home anything big since it's been GOODNESS knows how long since I've had a lesson, but... I'm excited! We have a little refresher lesson on Friday the day-before.

Wish us luck! Anyone else have an upcoming competition? Any last-minute advice?
