I know the kids in the first video.. It's the Georgia 4-H state show held in Perry every year. My sister shows there each year, even though she shows in the running she also shows pleasure occasionally. They are not the best horses and the ones you're seeing are the horses that aren't ridden by a trainer much, but by the kids. The horse cannot be ridden by siblings and can only the the kid's horse, no exceptions. Our 4-H state show is all about the kid and their horse, not how much money and training is put into it.

that's how it is at our 4-h. If somebody else is riding or handling the horse, other than the rider, they will get disqualified.

Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise.

Yep, same here..It's a good system. Teaches kids that it isn't about the money put in the horse.. I see kids win classes with plain saddles and without the rhinestones.. it's about the kid and the horse. We usually have very good judges, some even from the 4-h's old horse judging teams so it just ties right back into what 4-h does for a lot of kids.
