So i'm new to the western pleasure and ranch pleasure world. I was wondering what a jog is? My mare isn't a peanut roller, she just has a naturally low headset and we enjoy showing. She also has a fast lope, which i'm trying to slow down if anyone would like to answer my questions and give me advice. :D
I was also wondering how to get a horse to extend? I have no clue
I've attached some pictures of them, the western pleasure mare is the paint and the horse I want to extend is the chestnut.

I show western pleasure with my QH mare and its all about slow. A jog is just a slow trot:). My mare was taught to extend her jog when i sit deep into my saddle and make a shh shh shh sound haha. I dont know if you use leg pressure with your horses but if you want them to extend squeeze with your calfs, its just enough pressure to get them going without having your horse break intp a full on lope, also sit deep in your saddle it makes the ride just a little more comforable and once your horse gets extending down they will extend as soon as your shift your body. hopefully i could help you some:)
