No offense ment but not my ideal pleasure horse the way he is going, personally. He jogs cute, and he looks like he probably has a decent lope in there, but the way he is going around is not pleasing to me. He looks like he needs someone to really do some driving at the lope and more forward work and then slow him back down. He's not really using himself at all, and at some points when doing trail he looks like he's troping (troting/loping at the same time). I think if he was using himself better he'd probably be a decent loper.

ya I know he's not the best loper. But he's not a bad loper either. He was bred halter horse and was sencond in the nation for it, so he's not really built for pleasure. But he still does really well in it.

can you BE any more sel f-vain? That's YOU! We're not stupid.
He was "troping", looked stiff in the hind end, and he surrrreeeeee looked alert and happy to me. The only time he picked up his feet in the whole vid was over the poles. I did like the song though! :)
On a completely different note, you sure have a pretty lurcher there!

EDIT:
Second in the nation? Like, not just CA, but the entire US? Wow.....

He's not great now, no offense. I would use him as an example of a good WP personally, not that video at least.

The whole time I just wanted to get on him and pick my hands up and hold him up a little bit and drive him forward.

He, himself has okay legs in there, but the way he's riding he looks pretty bad.

I'm not trying to be rude at all. But to me that lope would look much prettier if pushed out and picked up. Right now he just looks like he's dragging himself along.

But each to his own, he's very cute looking nonetheless

ETA: For a halter horse doing pleasure he looks better than one might expect from a Halter horse lol.

well he's not that bad. I've done well with him at apha and ajpha worlds, with a few championships and reserves.

Maybe I'm a tough critiic, I just don't like that look personally. I'm sure he's a great show horse for you, I think you could do much better if that lope was a little less strung out and more up and together, even if you have to go a bit faster.

But I won't touch on him anymore, no need to start anything on here :). The most important thing is that you enjoy him.
