Well, on a dark bay pastels would look fine. Dark bays are the best for color, you can put anything on them. My mom has a reddish bay though and he looks VERY silly in pastels, lol. I've seen someone try to put pastel pink on him and it looked SO bad. It all depends on the shade of bay the op has.... but in general bay's look good in anything, I just don't like pastel so I might be biased =P

I think you should do Turquoise Lime green and white :)
That's what I would do if I still had my bay boy :(
I would get a pad I was thinking about buy for my mare that is by classic equine it has the above colors on it and then I would pair it will WHITE boots :) call me crazy but white boots are just about the easiest to keep clean - you can just soak them in some bleach (not straight bleech of course) and wash them. I know you are told not to was them in a washing machine but I have all mine and they are fine:)
Good luck though, with a bay almost any color looks good. I had royal blue turquoise and black on my old man before he passed away and it looked great on him :)

I would like to say Neon looks bad on everybody. Lol SUPER cute idea but just ends up looking bad 3rd time you use it! Your horse is dark! GO CRAZY! Just about anything will look good on a bay- I try to stay away from blue because everybody around me uses it! But it will look good with your tack and horse. I once saw a glittery red pad! Red makes a fierce statment (though I think its over used) Only green if its an apple green or mint. Hunter maybe too dark. So heres my combo : Royal Blue, Yellow (like a banana not pastel), & SPARKLE!!!- silver not gold (as in browband, monograms, hair pieces, jewlery, the string used to properly braid your horses tail)

I found a non-toxic hair spray with glitter that I spritz on the mane and tail. Not alot but enough that it sparkles just a little in the sun- but my horse is also gray.
