add Circle Y as bad? I think my bridle is a Circle Y. I have a TexTan that I really like.

You can order some brands straight from the warehouse, and they're cheaper by doing that than getting them at silly retail prices.

Most of the ones I've seen for Harris and Blue Ribbon were 4,000 and up. But I just took a peep at the Blue ribbon website and they did have a few under 3k. As for Bob's, I've seen several nice used ones for less than 3,000 but most of them were reiner models.

I haven't seen a lot of used Harris saddles in general (at least not online), but the ones I have were pricey.

What's your opinion on Silver Mesa?
Ah, a woman who likes bling! Nothing wrong with that. I've actually gotten away from a ton of bling and I show AQHA. There are some Bob's saddle that are not reiner-oriented. You have to look for what they call an all-around show or pleasure saddle. If you get a Bob's with a BNT name on it, like a Randy Paul, Bob Avila etc...it will be a reining seat with the stirrups set further forward reining style. Silver Mesa....WAAAAY over priced. I WILL let you in a not very well known secret. Check out Cascade Saddlery saddles. They are a newer saddle maker the last few years, and the chief saddle maker at this small company....was a saddle maker at Harris. Their customs are under $4000. The named two of their saddles after my trainer (the Drake saddles) because he helped them with the specs of these models. I happened to buy one from a barn mate who got a divorce and sold her's DIRT CHEAP, $1500. She had it loaded with silver, GOOD silver and while I personally would have chosen less silver...I could not pass it up for that price. I think she used it two seasons. SO I have my "Harris" without the huge price tag.

I can't believe you guys haven't heard of Fallis custom saddles. Their wonderful. I know there is alot of brands out there. Fallis is made out of Montana and there not cheap but you'll never have to buy another saddle.

I have heard of Fallis, however they don't make what I look for in a WP saddle.

I had a Circle Y entry level WP saddle, I used it for 5 years & sold it for the same price as I bought it brand new. I didn't find it overly comfortable or uncomfortable. I bought a Showman, not super expensive, but looks great, that saddle is super comfy. If I buy a saddle for 3 or 4 thousand, it better feel as good if not better than this one. Won't be for a while, this one is serving it's purpose well.

I hope you don't mind me asking a question on your post, but how do The Cascade saddles fit horses? Do they have nice shape to them? I was just looking at the trainers and they have great prices!

I love my Bob's. Just the right amount of bling, and really comfy for me and my horse. I bought mine used about 5 years ago from cowdog saddles. I paid about $2500 then, and I just love it. (meant to add that it is a W/P saddle).

They fit great....very balanced and evenly displaced on the horse's back. They have the butterfly close contact under the leg which I LOVE!
