Western Riding Events for Rider from Germany

Hi total noob here.
I have a nephew coming to visit June 2013. He is a pretty well respected Western Pleasure rider in Germany, and while he's here I'd like to take him to an event if the timing would work. We live in California. Any advice or leads would be great. Thanks!

Is he a member of AQHA? You can check out AQHA's website and look for shows in your area.

California is pretty big...What area do you reside in? And how far do you want to drive to get to a show? Go to a feed or tack store and get a copy of Horseman's news. They usually have calendar of upcoming events.
