Turquoise! It goes with just about any horse and is very noticable.

For more traditional classes I think I would like to see the darker subdued colors on him, black, burgandy, navy, forest, especially if you are a beginner. If it's a more casual show or play day/gymkana sort of think I think some brights would really pop on him (bright green, red, aqua, etc) and call attention.

Also, when you guys get really really good, to a point that you want to STEEL attention from everyone else and make the judges really look at you, brights would be a way to go, but you sound like you aren't ready to scream "look at me" while you are riding....yet.

I'd go with a darker red/blue/green. The darker the color the less movement it shows and it sounds like you are more of a beginner rider with him so that may help. :) I know when ever I start showing a different horse that I'm not totally used to riding I always pull out the darker colors so my leg and arm movement doesn't show as much. If you have really quiet legs and arms tho you can go with a lighter color (maybe a aqua or a lighter purple) but you have to remember that they will show more movement than a darker color. Hope this helps! :)

Most any solid color will do (bright, pastel, or fluorescent). I would recommend to stay away from loud patterns (it would draw attention from your boys neat coat coloring) and from white, grey, and black.

If she is showing stock horse western pleasure (assuming your appy is full blooded) then her best bet is to show with plain leather tack with silver (no color accents). From what I see on the circuit the only things that should match are the shirt and pad. Also breast collars are not the norm in western pleasure.

Personally, I think a plain black shirt looks really sharp. Dark colors show up against arena walls well. If you don't want to go dark I think Orange would look nice. Like an orange shirt with a saddle pad with a little orange in it.

I think any kind of blue would look great on your horse! Maybe turquoise/aqua or royal blue.

First, not frist. Forest, not forrest. And for thieving it is steal, not steel which is a metal. Spelling and correct usage of homonyms is a pet peeve of mine.

But I think with your coloring considered, I would look at turquoises or teals, or even something in purple shade.

While his coat is interesting, it is not eye popping, so need a good contrast between color to spark him up.

With him, you can get away with more daring colors for pad, and you too. I would use that.
