Personally I would look at the Billy Cook. The saddle maker harness repair lady I use, recommends Corriente saddles for those who want a decent saddle at a good price. To me it looks just like the Showman.

For that price you get a really nice used dale chavez saddle. I don't know a ton about them. My friend shows Pinto and that's what they had. Good luck!! Judt don't rush into any decisions, get one that you really want.

I really dislike Dale Chavez's. They don't hold their value and I find them extremely uncomfortable. But some people might like it, so I'm not going to tell you to not buy it. But you should definitely sit in it before you buy it.

Did you find a saddle yet??? I have a very nice Circle Y that is only about a year old that I would let go in that range.

If I were you I'd go for the billy cook saddle if you were going to buy one of the ones you posted.
I haven't heard that great of things about showman saddles. They aren't crazy expensive, but not that great of quality.

Silver Royal Saddles are comfortable when you first get them, but they wear down SO quickly and start looking very unprofessional. Sometimes they don't even look like real leather.

The american saddlery saddle looks like it's that plastic-y leather which I'd stay away from-it won't last you very long.

I have heard fantastic things about the harris saddles and the blue ribbon saddles but I definitely know the whole price range deal.

You said you were from WI in that one post, I'm from MN. Here's a few in that area from craigslist:

Western Pleasure Show Saddle

Circle Y Western Show Saddle

Western Pleasure Saddle

Circle Y Show Saddle!

I'd look into a lightly used Circle Y or Tex Tan saddle if you want a less expensive saddle that still shows all of the silver. They last a long time and are pretty nice saddles. My only complaint is that they are mass produced. Also try maybe looking into crates show saddles? I know they can be pricey, but they are pretty high quality saddles.

Don't know if this will work, but it is a great price on a good saddle. I just saw it this am-it was just listed.
