WP tack?

Next summer I hope to show my Paint Horse in 4-h. I want to do WP, and speed events...But, do you have to have saddles, bridles and breast collars with silver all over them? My saddle looks a lot like this one, but the seat is pink http://www.amazon.com/DOUBLE-Youth-Barrel-Saddle-PURPLE/dp/B001UIV0QY (and it's a different size, and not a barrel saddle), I have a plain bridle, and my breast collar is plain with blue studs on it. Is that ok? I'm not planning on doing shows with APHA or anything, cause he's not registered, but is it ok for local shows and 4-h?
Thanks!

As long as what you're riding in is well maintained and clean, it doesn't have to have silver all over it. At a local show here, there are riders that don't have any fancy saddles/bridles and they usually place. Not because they have silver or not, but because they deserve it.

They just want a clean, sleek look in WP.

I wouldn't do a breastcollar though, if you can go without it. Too much going on then, and it's distracting.

At a local 4-H level, plain tack can look really classy, vs. being decked out in silver and bling.

Thank you so much! Ok, I'll ditch his breast collar during WP then lol.

I agree that clean, well maintained tack is just fine for smaller level shows.

If you're showing for 4-H, Make sure you check the tack rules. Some areas require breast collars while riding (no matter what class). And you wouldn't want to get yelled at.. or disqualified.
