Question Any info on drill teams?

Hmmm... choosing what discipline to do is so so hard. I've narrowed it down to barrel racing or jumping though so that's good. If i do stick with western i thought it'd be fun to join an equestrian drill team! Does anyone have any info about drill teams? They look like lots of fun! You'd be able to ride in rodeos and parades and stuff right?

So... if anyone has any info that'd be great! I'm located in the Seattle area so if anyone from around here knows of any drill teams please tell me! Thanks!

I just started doing drill team. I really like it so far. Plus, its good training for your horse.

So in lies the madness, the pursuit of the impossible in the face of the complete assurance that you will fail, and yet still you chase.

Drill teams are a lot of fun :)

I rode in one last year and am riding in one this year for my equestrian team. Seattle Washington, right? I'm afraig I don't know how old you are, but if you're still in high school I would suggest doing WAHSET (Washington High School Equestrian Team) and doing drill there at first. I'm currently doing OHSET and they're very similar. They wave working fours and Short Program drill, as well as all the toher english and western events.

Even if the school doesn't offer it you can co-op with another school.

And maybe just look around the area. Google is good, youtube too. A lot of the drill teams have websites where you can find them. However I can warn you it can be hard to find one and break into the world. The horse world is super political as it is, so you'll just have to keep perservering!

Pssh.I didn't pick up the wrong lead
It's called a counter canter...
...A very advanced maneuver.
