I do barrels but dabble into poles just for fun. We compete through NBHA and on local circuits.

Yeah, I gotta say when he's fit, my pony hasn't been beaten in bending. Everything else he is slowing down in, but point him at the poles and he's amazing... I just have to crouch over his neck, and its like his feet run a straight line and he just leans his body... It's the most amazing feeling to ride it.

Speed & action, key hole, pole weaving, jumping figure 8, and barrels. My younger daughter rode & ended up high pointing Yaaa. ( tried to post a pic but it would let me)

Do they run in the WSCA events then??? I like speed and action but they don't really have it at open shows since it isnt a qualifying event. Congrats for you younger girl!!!

I used to game, but I had to cut back on horses so I sold my gaming mare.

Yes my girls do WSCA. My older daughters horse is in his late 20s. He runs good for her but just a hair to slow. She a intermediate so it tough age group. If they placed to 10th at the shows she would have ribbons. We got her a new horse this year (Leo) he does not know the games yet but she understands that she has to work with him. My younger daughter does barrel jackpots. This year she won 2 jackets ( from one location) and a belt bucket for a different series. This last weekend she did get to do speed and action. I thought for sure her horse would not stop in the box but she did and got 1st place. When ever we go to show I don't push them to win I just ask for a clean run I don't care about the times. Ribbons are a bonus.
