I do cowboy mounted shooting. This is the most fun I have ever had on a horse. I have roped, penned, trail riden, drill team, etc. Its like any sport, the cost to get started is relative. I played golf for years and I don't spend near as much with the mounted shooting as I did on golf equipment. You can find used guns, etc. I order the blanks for practicing thru the CMSA website. It usually costs me $12 to $20 dollars when I practice depending on how much I actually shoot. The most times practices are for the horses. If you want to find out more go the the cmsa website cowboymountedshooting.com and locate a club near you. Call any of the members and they would be more than happy to help you. Most of the time folks will loan you equipment to try and see if you like it or not.
