Does your horse get marks from your slant load trailer?
I have been borrowing a horse trailer from the couple I board my horse with, until I can get my own trailer.
It is a Featherlight 3-horse slant load bumper pull, with rear tack and front tack.
My horse hasn't been hauled a lot, so this is a new thing for him. He's still rather nervous on the trailer, but that's just going to take time to get used to.
Now I don't know if he's just too big for the trailer or if this is the case with any slant load. As far as I know, it's a regular size slant load. But he has black rub marks on both sides of his hindquarters from the butt bar (or whatever the official term is for the slant dividers). He's not that tall (about 15.1 or 15.2) but he is very beefy and muscular.
Does this happen to everyone?
I've never used a slant load before. I always just used my parent's stock trailer.
So this might be dumb question, but I am curious about it.

It is not enough to know how to ride; one must know how to fall.
