Drill teams!

Who all rides on a drill team?:)

Post pictures, info, videos, etc!:)

I've been riding drill for 5 years and this was my last year with me going off to college in the fall:'(

I believe my team was started in 2001. It grew to have nearly 35 riders, with a JV, Varsity, and a Flag team. However, after some drama, the coaches had to leave and we dropped down to FIVE riders. Our new coach was Heather Comarate, a drill judge and clinician. That was over 4 years ago, and the team has really grown!:)

Here are some of my random drill pics:)

And on the pirate outfits..thanks!:)
The skull and cross-bones were a pain on one of the horses..she was a black frame overo...nuff said. It had to be half black and half white no matter where we put it.

I like her!:) I have a big soft spot for any horse of a red tone since I am stuck with greys and a palomino:P
And love her chrome. She looks like a well built horse!:)

I know my old lady bones are wiped out today!
Three hour practice last night, only 8 until our first competition, and half of us don't know the drill yet.
The pressure mounts....

Ahhhh I love drill so much! I wish I had more of an opportunity to do it. The HS Equestrian Teams have a drill class (Freestyle 4's, and Freestyle 6+) but I don't have anybody but me on my team so I can't have a drill obviously. :( I rode in one my freshman year though and have had drill team lessons at the barn. I miss it! Trying to dig out my old video to see if I still have it somewhere.
