fitting western saddle

I am an english rider, but I am starting to ride trails. I just got a western saddle for my bday and I am super excited! I was just wondering how to tell if it fits your horse...PLEASE WRITE! Thanx in advance!

Wow that's a big question in a short sentence
I will refer you to a web site that I have found very helpful. They do sell saddles too, but their saddle fitting guides are top notch.
We Make Saddle Fitting Simple

Here is an actual "checking fit" guide http://www.horsesaddleshop.com/saddle-help.html

Thx for the replies everyone...umm I would post pics but we tried it on him and it fit perfectly! Yay! We know this because he has room but not too much and he shows no signs of distress or pain! I actually think he enjoyed it more than my english saddle! Lol :) thanks again everyone!
