You need to practice a gate of some short, so set up two barrels and a piece of pvc pipe as your gate. Practice the gate that way.

I set this up in my arena just something to play around with. The only change I did was make 2 L shape side by side to back/ side pass around. All fence posts and the gate to the arena.
I didn't do the letters points however. Not to interested in that part.

How's her reverse gear. If the class is at a show, most judges ask for the rope "gate" a bridge, and backing around cones plus a couple of others. The cones really thins out the class.

She is awesome backward! We have been backing and side passing the L and she does it like an old pro!! Last year we had to back a Y and back around cones set in a clover leaf. I'll have to take a video of what we have been doing.
