So I recently won a versatility saddle (yay!!) but I have no idea what size To choose (we get to design our own) o_O

I've been showing my reiner in a cutting saddle. This cutting saddle is 16.5". My barrel saddle is 15". I'm 5'3", 125 pounds. I've ridden in a 17" reining saddle and it was HUGE. Would I be better off getting a 15" or a 16"? I kinda wanted a 15.5 but they don't come in half sizes...what is a popular seat size?

I agree with tiny. My best friend is 5'9" and 150lbs and rides in a 15-15.5" saddle...and she has a 34" inseam. So, at 5'3", I'd say a 15" would be just about perfect.

Originally I was under the impression our saddles were coming from KO, turns out they are Cowboy Collection!:D but I need more help lol...
They don't have reining saddles (without a big upgrade), would there "cow horse" saddle work? I plan on getting a padded seat instead of the hard seat. It appears to have the same seat as a reining saddle would...

If it's the difference between buying from a certain location and having a saddle that fits you perfectly, then I'd look elsewhere. Unless, of course, you can't find that particular saddle elsewhere. Just my opinion though- some folks don't mind a little size variation!

How great that you won a saddle!!!!
I am 5'3" and 125 pounds. A 15.5" works for me or a 16". It just depends on a lot of factors. Too bad you can't sit in some before ordering. I guess if I had to order one, I'd go with the 16"...just in case it didn't fit me or my horse, a 16" might be easier to sell. Just a thought.

I know for me im 5'4 and 130bs, and I personally ride in a 16 inch, I just like having a little more room. if your more comfortable in something not as roomy and more snug id get the 15 inch. Although keep in mind, if you plan on selling it 16 inch would be the way to go, around here 15 inch ones sit on the shelf a while lol.
