Looking at Saddles...Please Help

Hello everyone,
I would like to have your thoughts about the American Saddlery Trails Edge Saddle Package found on horse.com item #SLT700173. I can buy this now for $605 it comes with a full brow band headstall, a western curb bit, split reins with latigo ties, a neoprene cinch and leather breast collar.

Also what is a Round Front Competitor tree? Tried to do some research on it but didn't find anything.

I want a good all around saddle that is comfortable on a long ride (for me and my horse) that doesn't cost $1200.

I have been looking at some used Simco saddles as well.

Thanks

I had an American Saddlery leather/cordura saddle that was well made. The swells are shaped to help hold you in the saddle, versus the low sloping ones on a roper.
