Critique my riding (4th lesson)
This is a link to a thread I posted a few weeks ago. I've had 3 lessons since then. Today's lesson was absolutely incredible. I got asked if I wanted to ride on Tuesdays instead of Saturdays because there were 2 girls that rode right before my daughter and she thought I was ready to move up to a higher level. To be honest, I was terrified because higher level meant bigger horse, more skill. I was nervous, but quickly moved from nervous to elated!
So I went from a beginner horse that taught everyone to an insanely amazing WP horse. I swear I could have rode him without reins he turned so well on leg pressure alone, and God forbid you tried to stop him with reins...you'd have him 10 steps back before he stopped. OH MY GOSH a horse that is so responsive is absolutely incredible!
I swear to you his jog was like sitting in a glider rocker. You absolutely didn't feel a thing. He was in a mood today too, because he hadn't been in the arena with his brother in 2 years and brother was a little fresh (a year off for injury recovery) so they both were a little snotty. I can't wait until he's not in a mood to see what he's like. I have a new love. My little red horse is still so sweet, but I'm moving on to a tall, hunky paint.
I'm in such a good mood right now! Of course, now I'm riding 2 hours before hubby gets off work so I won't have pictures for a while, but maybe one day my mommy will come take pictures of me for some more critiques.
