Officially just joined 4-H for western gaming!
I'm really excited! I'm pretty new to this. My horse was trained for western games, but we've ridden [mostly] english for the last 3 years. Well I decided to give western gaming a try because I want to be a better rounded rider, and I think it will be really fun! I'm not completely ignorant about it though. I know barrel racing and pole bending pattern, and know how to do key hole. I know some tips and pointers to help get a good run, but any personal experiences that teach you things you have to learn the hard way? Any other speed events that I could practice at home? What do you do to help improve your performance when you ask for speed?
