I had started training my gelding for it at out point, but never competed and since I sold the horse, I doubt I ever will. It looked like a lot of fun and a lot of hard work.
I really don't think that it would be that hard. I would love to compete in that someday. The only problem for me would be the ranch cutting because none of my horses are cutting bred and have to be taught to watch a cow and have very little natural cow savvy. I really prefer that competition to anything else because the horse has to be very versatile and well trained and good for every day using. Most show horses are not worth much outside of the arena except for an easy trail because all of their training has been focused to one area. Do you compete or are you just interested in the competitions?
