training a horse to neck rein??

Hi everyone,

Usually i'm in the english section

I got an english trained horse and I an english trained.

I decided to try polo x, I jump on a horse and went out and had a go, this horse neck reined so good!! I got told how to do it then I went out with a racket and the horse did everything at the slightest touch

My horse is fully english trained, he's raced then evented his whole life (he's 17) he's over eventing and I got another horse to start on that but I don't want to retire him because he will get old quick!
He's a lazy horse but can get fired up but will chill out pretty quick. So I though polo x would be fun for him

So I need to teach him how to neck rein...but I don't know where to start or how. I've gotten on a tried and he kinda gets the point but not very well. He is ok on one rein but on the other he barely moves.

What can I do to translate english to western to my horse??? (and to myself)
