We Cantered!!

I'm a little bit proud of myself. My confidence is returning. After 10 years of no riding, I actually felt secure enough today to ask my horse to canter! Yeah, I held onto the horn... but man it feel good!!

Gandy jogging ... I really like this picture of us....

Gandy side pass (sort of) (picture reads from right to left)

That's awsome it looks lovely!
When sidepassing make sure you're using you're outside leg to move the hindend over. She does a cross over really good in the front but seems blocked in the back end. Over all doing good though. Next u'll be able to put in some barrels or something! Haha.

I know, I didn't get her rear going correctly. But at least we got the front end maneuvering :) I'm also changing bits on her. She just really mouths that bit. I've put my plain snaffle back on the bridle, we'll see how that works for us next ride :)

Cantering is always a little nerve wracking for me, especially if I don't feel completely comfortable on a horse! I have yet to canter my newest horse (Who we've had for a month, but I've only been able to ride a few times). I think she'll be absolutely fine cantering, but I have no balance from not riding as regularly as I should!

Congrats on your confidence though! She's a pretty horse!
