what are your thoughts on TB for barrel racing? I am looking to save a 3 year old TB.

Depends on the horse. And depends on what your goals are.

There's a reason that the Quarter horse it the most common breed to excel at barrel racing.

Of course, there have been some appedix QH's as well as a few TB's that have excelled at the top.

But, by and large, most are QH's.

Quick question, is the tb of the track? Yes, tbs do have the speed, but they are not as agile and quick footed as QHs. I've seen many appendix horses do well in arenas here.

My only concern would be if you are planning on training AND competing when the horse is 3. For a thoroughbred, it can be hard on their joint and overall form. This is because of their tall slim form.
