I see so many over bent and heavy on the forehand horses. Type in Dressage on google.. it is SCARY. I know this isn't all of it.. Could anyone give me names of riders trainers who really show what Dressage is supposed to look like?

Oh boy, this is kind of a loaded question as dressage has evolved quite a bit over the years, and some would say that it has not changed for the better.

The governing authority of dressage in the US is the USDF. If in doubt, go with whatever their rules are.

You can go to the USDF website and search for legitimate trainers in your state. You can also check their individual dressage scores.

The governing body of the sport in the US is usEf, they are the national body which is part of the international body of the FEI. UsDf is a group for education and awards.

One of the best seats ever was that of Reiner Klimke (who has many videos and books out). He was an example of someone who really worked to develop his equitation to an artistic level. The horses are calm and collected (and he was also an event rider..rode in two games jumping, and three as a dressage rider). He was Olympic champion/world champion and german national champion. Someone to be emulated (as is his daughter).

I, too, am a big fan of Carl Hester and Edward Gal, among many of the great riders out there right now. It's a joy to experience all of those mentioned, really.
