I am after some boots that are affordable and protectivve!
Dont have a massive budget, but i am getting to the point where neoprene splint boots wont cut it and i will start competing my new boy soon.
Please let me know of any good brands& links at low price.
Thanks,.

I REALLY want the Premier Equine boots that were posted above, but they're unfortunately out of my budget right now.
I like Woofs for a lower-priced boot. My boy seems to be tough on boots for whatever reason. He's had his black pair for about a year & they've held up decently well, although a velco piece ripped right off of his baby blue pair after a few months. That may have been a fluke, though. The upper-level eventer I worked for for a while took her horse to Rolex in Woof boots.

I really like Nunn Finer American boots, as well. I got mine for half price from tackoftheday, but I've not seen them offered since.

I ordered my Premier Equine boots direct from the UK. Even with the shipping costs they were cheaper than buying them from a supplier in the states. I'd just like to say that I am in love with these boots. They don't hold water, turn, and really fit my horse's legs. But I understand that they are a bit high in price for them to be for everyone.

Other than that I've had great luck with anything by Woof. They make some great boots! Cheap, durable, they don't twist or get heavy in water. So to anyone new to the sport or looking for something cost effective those would be what I would recommend.

What about SMBs? That's what I always used in Pony Club eventing and love them because of the flexor tendons. How are they for "actual" eventing? I use them every time I ride my OTTB because he raced for 5 years, 40 races, and I want to protect his tendons as much as possible (even though he retired clean and never had a single leg injury).

WOW! What a price difference between these and the Smart Pak price! according to xe.com the conversion price directly from the manufacturer is $58 and change...and Smart Pak is charging almost $90! WOW is that a price difference for the same product!!! Depending on shipping, I'd buy it from the UK and wait the month or so for it to get here and through customs. Whew!
